Flashback HD is a science fiction platformer developed by VectorCell and published by Ubisoft. A remake of the classic 1992 Delphine Software video game Flashback – and overseen by original designer Paul Cuisset – players once again take control of Conrad B. Hart as he tries to piece his memory back together and foil an alien plot to destroy planet earth.

INTERVIEW – In Conversation With Jane Jensen (Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers – 20th Anniversary Edition)

Legendary adventure game designer Jane Jensen (the Gabriel Knight series, Gray Matter) recently announced that she has licensed the Gabriel Knight IP from Activision and is working on a remake of the original game, Sins of the Fathers. Set for release on personal computers and tablets in mid-2014, Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers – 20th Anniversary Edition will feature stunning high res visuals (2048×1536 3D graphics will replace the original 640×480 resolution pixel art), re-recorded voice acting and a remastered soundtrack by Robert Holmes, the game’s original composer. Grand Theft Auto V is an open world action-adventure game developed by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games. One of the most highly anticipated video games of all time, players take control of three different characters throughout the game’s story – Michael, Franklin and Trevor – in a game-changing first for the series. Set in the fictional state of San Andreas (Rockstar’s version of Southern California), the map comprises the sprawling metropolis of Los Santos (based on Los Angeles), the surrounding countryside and mountains, and even the ocean floor – all coming together to create the breathtaking set for an epic crime drama that’s larger than life.

GAME REVIEW – Gone Home (PC)

Gone Home

Gone Home is a story exploration video game created by independent studio The Fullbright Company, which was founded in Portland, Oregon in March 2012. Its co-founders are Steve Gaynor, Johnnemann Nordhagen and Karla Zimonja – previously, members of the studio have worked in various capacities on games such as BioShock 2, XCOM and BioShock Infinite. As Kaitlin Greenbriar, players will travel back in time to 1995 to explore their family home in an indie adventure game that is nostalgic, bittersweet and heartfelt.
