Gabriel Knight is a series of point-and-click adventure games created by legendary game designer and writer Jane Jensen (who AMO interviewed in 2011, 2012 and 2013). INTERVIEW – In Conversation With Jane Jensen (Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers – 20th Anniversary Edition)

Legendary adventure game designer Jane Jensen (the Gabriel Knight series, Gray Matter) recently announced that she has licensed the Gabriel Knight IP from Activision and is working on a remake of the original game, Sins of the Fathers. Set for release on personal computers and tablets in mid-2014, Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers – 20th Anniversary Edition will feature stunning high res visuals (2048×1536 3D graphics will replace the original 640×480 resolution pixel art), re-recorded voice acting and a remastered soundtrack by Robert Holmes, the game’s original composer. GAME PREVIEW – Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller – Episode 1: The Hangman (PC)

Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller is the latest point-and-click adventure game from Phoenix Online Studios. AMO interviewed Katie Hallahan (PR Director for Phoenix Online) and Cesar Bittar (CEO of Phoenix Online) about the game in 2011. The indie studio is best known for creating The Silver Lining, a non-commercial game based on and inspired by the King’s Quest series. On 30th October 2012 the studio will release the first episode of Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller – their first commercial outing, with legendary adventure game designer Jane Jensen acting as story consultant.

Gray Matter Collector’s Edition Unboxing (German Steelbook)

Alternative Magazine Online has covered point-and-click adventure game Gray Matter extensively since its release earlier this year. In my review of the game, I proclaimed it as “one of the finest adventure games I have ever played.” I then went on to interview creator Jane Jensen, as well as soundtrack composer Robert Holmes, before finally catching up with Samantha Everett voice actress Phillipa Alexander! An interactive mystery featuring a unique blend of fact and fiction, the game revolves around an American magician, Samantha Everett, and a reclusive neurobiologist, Dr. David Styles, as they face paranormal activity in Oxford, England. Not only was Jane kind enough to answer our many questions, she even shared some exclusive artwork too!
