The Slaughter is a noir style point-and-click adventure game created by Brainchild, a one-man studio operated by published author Alex Francois. Alex hopes to raise £8,000 via Kickstarter to fund the game by the 13th December 2013. Set in Victorian London in the shadow of a string of serial killings, The Slaughter looks very promising indeed and it is therefore with great pleasure that AMO presents an exclusive online interview with Alex Francois!

GAME REVIEW – The Shivah: Kosher Edition (PC, iOS)

The Shivah: Kosher Edition is a newly remastered version of the critically acclaimed 2006 adventure game The Shivah created by Dave Gilbert and Wadjet Eye Games. Players take control of world-weary Jewish New Yorker Russell Stone, a financially struggling rabbi who becomes tangled up in the murder investigation of a former member of his congregation. The Shivah: Kosher Edition is now available for download on PC and iOS (iPad/iPhone/iPod touch).

Lilly Looking Through

Lilly Looking Through is a point-and-click adventure game (PC/Mac/Linux) created by indie studio Geeta Games. In 2012 talented husband and wife team Steve and Jessica Hoogendyk asked for $18,000 to develop their first game via Kickstarter and went on to raise $33,516. In Lilly Looking Through, Lilly must rescue her brother Row after he is swept away by a magical red scarf – by using her magic goggles!

INTERVIEW – In Conversation With Jane Jensen (Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers – 20th Anniversary Edition)

Legendary adventure game designer Jane Jensen (the Gabriel Knight series, Gray Matter) recently announced that she has licensed the Gabriel Knight IP from Activision and is working on a remake of the original game, Sins of the Fathers. Set for release on personal computers and tablets in mid-2014, Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers – 20th Anniversary Edition will feature stunning high res visuals (2048×1536 3D graphics will replace the original 640×480 resolution pixel art), re-recorded voice acting and a remastered soundtrack by Robert Holmes, the game’s original composer.
