By Marty Mulrooney

ShardlightPoster

Shardlight is the latest game from Wadjet Eye Games, publisher of The Blackwell Epiphany, Resonance and Gemini Rue (to name but a few). Another old-school pixel-art point-and-click adventure game (try saying that five times in a row!), Shardlight is set 20 years after a cataclysmic disaster has levelled the city Amy Wellard lives in. She’s now slowly dying of Green Lung, a disease that is wiping out the population at an alarming rate. Vaccine is in short supply, rationed by a totalitarian government that favours the rich… but that won’t stop Amy fighting for her life.

GAME REVIEW – Puzzle Bots

By Marty Mulrooney

Puzzlebots 2010-05-12 21-38-20-72

Puzzle Bots is the latest point ‘n’ click game from Wadjet Eye Games, a company I previously came across during my time reviewing the classic Blackwell trilogy of games for Hardydev.com last year. I therefore decided to put myself forward as a beta tester for the studio’s new game Puzzle Bots last month. As soon as I started playing, I was blown away; gameplay and graphics were delightful even in those early beta stages. I knew I would have to review the final build on AMO when it released, which brings me to my review. Puzzle Bots rocks!
