When composer Robert Holmes last joined Alternative Magazine Online for a chat at the end of 2021, he was kind enough to tell us all about his latest project Sequel – an album inspired by his soundtracks for the Gabriel Knight trilogy and Gray Matter (iconic adventure games written by his wife, legendary game designer Jane Jensen – what can I say, they’re a talented family!) Now, it’s 2023 and the album is out there being listened to and enjoyed by fans all over the world. Therefore, I am proud to welcome Robert back to AMO for yet another exclusive online interview where we talk about his creative process, the best cover versions of his music, and the importance of bringing beauty and positivity into the world.

Alternative Magazine Online recently reviewed Grim Fandango Remastered, describing it as “a 17-year-old classic LucasArts game remastered in HD, looking and sounding better than it has ever done.” This was in large part due to the remastered score, with many of the songs now fully orchestrated by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. Therefore, AMO is delighted to welcome back the game’s award-winning composer Peter McConnell (Monkey Island 2, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, Full Throttle) for yet another exclusive online interview!

His credits include numerous titles from LucasArts, where he spent much of his early career composing in-house for games such as Monkey Island II, Full Throttle and Grim Fandango. Jared Emerson-Johnson is an award-winning music composer, sound designer, voice director, and voice actor.  Perhaps best known for his compositional work for Telltale Games – he composed the soundtracks for all three seasons of their Sam & Max adventure games – he most recently composed the scores for Back to the Future: The Game, Puzzle Agent 2, and Jurassic Park: The Game. Jared has kindly agreed to join Alternative Magazine Online for an exclusive online interview, where we discuss his work with LucasArts and Telltale Games, as well as his voice acting roles and other creative endeavours!
