GAME REVIEW – Machinarium (PSN)

Machinarium is an award-winning indie point-and-click adventure game created by Amanita Design, a small independent game developing studio based in the Czech Republic. Originally released in 2009 on PC (AMO’s original review described it as “a unique, original adventure”), the game has since been released for iPad 2, BlackBerry PlayBook and Android devices. On the 6th September 2012, Machinarium was finally released on the PlayStation Network in Europe.

Anna’s Quest Vol. 1: Winfriede’s Tower is an indie point-and-click adventure game created by Krams Design, an independent Game Design & Development Company based in Brisbane, Australia. It tells the story of Anna, a little girl who sets out on a quest to find a cure for her ailing Grandpa. Venturing into the nearby dark woods, she is captured by an evil witch and entrapped in a fortified tower. Winfriede intends to perform experiments on Anna to steal her hidden telekinetic powers – but Anna has no intention of remaining the witch’s prisoner…

INTERVIEW – In Conversation With Matt McArdell (Papier Kickstarter, Spycraft Studios)

Papier is an adventure game with RPG elements based on the original tale by Matt McArdell. Taking place in a world made of paper, the developers hope to raise $140,000 via Kickstarter to complete the game and realise their vision.
