Broken Sword 2.5 English Voice Pack Now Available!

By Marty Mulrooney

BrokenSword25Cover

A fan project 10 years in the making, Broken Sword 2.5 is a very special game indeed. German-based MindFactory have created a lovingly crafted tribute that is free to download and retains the charming graphics of the original 2D games. Although it was released on September 28th 2008 (a full German version with optional English subtitles), it is only now in 2010 that players can finally play with English voices. A few years ago I was lucky enough to audition and successfully record two voice parts. Read on to learn more about the game and hear my contributions!

Involuntary_Quad_5b

Involuntary (De ofrivilliga) is an award-winning Swedish film directed by Ruben Östlund in 2008. Showcasing several parallel stories that at first appear totally unrelated, the overarching narrative deals with group behaviour in a darkly comedic manner. Involuntary is now showing in cinemas across the UK.

GAME REVIEW – Dead Rising 2 (PC)

By Marty Mulrooney

dead-rising-2-pc-cover

Dead Rising 2 is the long-awaited follow-up to the 2006 Xbox 360 exclusive Dead Rising, once again pitting players against flesh-eating hordes of zombies with whatever make-shift weapons may come to hand. The sequel requires no knowledge of the previous game and is an entirely standalone experience. Exclusivity seemingly forgotten, Dead Rising 2 was recently released on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. A PC port soon followed, which is the version being reviewed here on AMO today. Happy Halloween 2010!
