The Electronics Boutique near me has good people working in it. They give me fun information all the time, sometimes when I don’t even ask them for it! Recently I heard them saying that Halo: ODST was walking out the door. Why? Because a rush of people wanted to play the new Multiplayer Beta of the upcoming game Halo Reach, and the lesser-liked Halo 3 prequel was needed to run it. Fun because it’s true.  Back in its hey-day, more than a million people played Halo 3 online within 24 hours of its release. These days, it’s earned the new moniker of Galo (not pronounced Gah-lo either). As a first person shooter, it has fallen from its former glory.

FILM REVIEW – Halo Legends, Part 2

By Stewie Sutherland

HaloOriginsBluRay

Released worldwide on both DVD and Blu-ray, Halo Legends takes one of the most popular franchises of our time and spins seven short films about it. You can now buy Halo toys and games, Halo novels, comics, and you can even wear Halo clothes while playing O.D.S.T. and waiting for the new Halo Reach to hit shelves. It therefore wasn’t very surprising to hear that there was going to be a series of anime/CGI films based on the franchise (the only surprise was that it took them this long!)

By Duncan Voice

There’s something quite unnerving walking around a big city on your own at night. It can be a lonely experience, with the fear of coming across a gang of thugs ready to ruin your evening. Overturned vehicles line the streets, corpses strewn along the pavement. No, this isn’t a stroll around Gloucester on a Wednesday evening, this is a night in the life of The Rookie, an Orbital Drop Shock Trooper.

This expansion-cum-full-game pits you as the aforementioned Rookie, as he tries to uncover the mystery behind the disappearance of his squad after they were knocked off course by the Prophet of Regrets ship, during a drop into New Mombasa. The game attempts to expand the  Halo storyline, and takes place during Halo 2 before The Covenant vitrify the city.
