INTERVIEW – In Conversation With Ellie Conrad Leigh (Zoë Castillo, Dreamfall: The Longest Journey)

Alternative Magazine Online recently reviewed Dreamfall: The Longest Journey, an adventure game created by legendary game designer Ragnar Tørnquist that was released by Norwegian developer Funcom in 2006 for Xbox and Windows PC, describing it as “a flawed game that has nonetheless stood the test of time.” Earlier this month (November 2012), Funcom announced that ‘Dreamfall Chapters’ had gone into pre-production at Red Thread Games, a new studio founded by Ragnar Tørnquist. AMO is therefore proud to present a short but sweet exclusive online interview with Ellie Conrad Leigh, the voice of  Zoë Castillo in Dreamfall: The Longest Journey!

GAME PREVIEW – Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller – Episode 1: The Hangman (PC)

Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller is the latest point-and-click adventure game from Phoenix Online Studios. AMO interviewed Katie Hallahan (PR Director for Phoenix Online) and Cesar Bittar (CEO of Phoenix Online) about the game in 2011. The indie studio is best known for creating The Silver Lining, a non-commercial game based on and inspired by the King’s Quest series. On 30th October 2012 the studio will release the first episode of Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller – their first commercial outing, with legendary adventure game designer Jane Jensen acting as story consultant.

GAME REVIEW – The Walking Dead: Episode 4 – Around Every Corner (PC)

The Walking Dead: Around Every Corner is the fourth episode of a five-part episodic video game based upon Robert Kirkman’s The Walking Dead series of comic books. Lee Everett and his fellow survivors arrive in Savannah, Georgia, to find that zombies aren’t their only problem – the group is becoming fractured and divided, Kenny is struggling to hold himself together and Clementine’s mysterious walkie-talkie ‘friend’ has a hidden agenda that will push Lee to breaking point and beyond.
