Nelly Cootalot: The Fowl Fleet! is a retro point-and-click indie adventure game presented in a classic 2D style. It is a sequel to the freeware adventure game Nelly Cootalot: Spoonbeaks Ahoy!, which won several awards and received some great reviews from the gaming press upon release. Nelly Cootalot’s creator, Alasdair Beckett-King, recently started a Kickstarter campaign to raise £15,000 to fund the sequel. To celebrate successfully reaching this goal (and hopefully pushing forward to reach some of the exciting stretch goals), AMO is proud to present an exclusive online interview with Alasdair Beckett-King!

GAME REVIEW – The Last of Us (PlayStation 3)

The Last Of Us

The Last of Us is a survival horror action-adventure video game developed by Naughty Dog, creators of the critically acclaimed Uncharted series. Published by Sony Computer Entertainment exclusively for the PlayStation 3, the game puts players in control of Joel, a hardened survivor who is travelling across a post-apocalyptic, monster-infested United States in the year 2033 to deliver a 14-year-old girl to a mysterious resistance group known as the ‘Fireflies’. The Last of Us was released worldwide on the 14th June 2013.

INTERVIEW – In Converstation With Doug TenNapel (Armikrog Kickstarter)

Armikrog is a clay and puppet animated adventure game currently being developed by Doug TenNapel (creator of Earthworm Jim and The Neverhood) and Pencil Test Studios. The team hope to raise $900,000 via Kickstarter to fund the game by the 27th June 2013. Alternative Magazine Online interviewed Doug in 2010 and Power Up was also chosen as one of AMO’s best books/graphic novels of 2009, with TenNapel described as: “One of the great graphic novelists of our time.” AMO is therefore proud to present an exclusive online interview with prolific graphic novelist and talented video game designer Doug TenNapel!
