GAME REVIEW – Sam & Max: The Devil’s Playhouse, Episode 3 – They Stole Max’s Brain!

They Stole Max’s Brain! is undoubtedly the most difficult Telltale episode I have had to review for some time. It successfully showcases what the company has quite rightly became synonymous with over the past few years (amazing storylines and characters) along with some of their earlier missteps showing up too (puzzles that are too easy, the occasional glitch). The end result is an episode that still shines, just not as brightly as last month’s phenomenal effort.

GAME PREVIEW – Transformers: War For Cybertron (All Platforms)

If there’s a franchise that’s been retold over and over again it’s the story of the Transformers. In their 25 year lifespan they’ve had stories of beast wars and machine battles on Earth and in space. One series may have heroic leader Optimus Prime take the form of a semi-trailer fighting a planet-sized villain and in the next he’ll be a fire truck that combines with his tough-guy brother Ultra Magnus. He’s been a big gorilla that’s played King Kong with T-rex Megatron and won time and time again, and recently he’s returned to the silver screen to tear bad guys apart and draw attention away from Megan Fox’s lacklustre acting.

GAME REVIEW – Din’s Curse (PC)

Indecision is perhaps my most irritating trait. If my life were an RPG, I’d probably be wearing [Inconclusive flip flops of procrastination] that gifted the wearer -10 points to the decisiveness stat. Staring at the character creation screen for a good couple of hours flicking between nose shapes is customary, and I’ve lost count of the hours lost after deleting a character because I didn’t like their hair style.
