Bertram Fiddle – A Victorian Animated Adventure Game is a Kickstarter campaign that was recently launched by Seb Burnett and Rumpus Animation. Episode 1: A Dreadly Business was released last year for PC, Mac and iOS. Now, they need some help finishing off Episode 2 of this hilarious comedy point-and-click adventure game set in Victorian London. Therefore, AMO is delighted to present an exclusive online interview with Rumpus Animation’s Creative Director (and the creator of Bertram Fiddle) Seb Burnett!

FILM REVIEW – The Transporter Refuelled

The Transporter Refuelled is an action thriller directed by Camille Delamarre and produced by Luc Besson (who also co-wrote the script). The fourth film in the Transporter franchise, it’s the first to see Jason Statham absent as former special-operations mercenary Frank Martin, replaced for this latest outing by relatively unknown actor Ed Skrein (he played Daario Naharis in the third season of Game of Thrones). The plot revolves around human trafficking this time round, but the series has always been best known for its brilliantly choreographed fight scenes, driving sequences… and Jason Statham. So with ‘the Stath’ out of the picture, can the transporter still deliver?

The Devils Only Friend by Dan Wells

The Devil’s Only Friend by Dan Wells is the latest novel in the John Wayne Cleaver series of books. Although it follows on from the previous critically acclaimed young adult trilogy – I Am Not A Serial Killer, Mr Monster, I Don’t Want To Kill You which Alternative Magazine Online described as “a scary, darkly humorous and surprisingly heart-wrenching experience”, this latest instalment is a standalone novel (and the start of a brand new trilogy) that follows John as he reluctantly joins up with a secret FBI task force set up by the US government. Their mission? To hunt down and kill demons.

GAME REVIEW – Anna’s Quest (PC)

Alternative Magazine Online reviewed Anna’s Quest Vol. 1: Winfriede’s Tower – created by Australian game developer Dane Krams – in 2012, describing it as “indie adventure gaming at its finest.” In a follow-up interview that same year, Mr Krams revealed his plan to release two more ‘volumes’, completing the game as a trilogy. Instead, in 2014 it was announced that Krams Design had teamed up with Daedalic Entertainment to finish the project and release it as one complete adventure game – something that wasn’t originally possible at the time. The finished result is simply titled Anna’s Quest and was released in summer 2015. Grab your keyboard and mouse brave adventurer: it’s finally time to save young Anna’s grandpa and defeat the evil witch Winfriede once and for all!
