Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller is the latest point-and-click adventure game from Phoenix Online Studios. AMO interviewed Katie Hallahan (PR Director for Phoenix Online) and Cesar Bittar (CEO of Phoenix Online) about the game in 2011. The indie studio is best known for creating The Silver Lining, a non-commercial game based on and inspired by the King’s Quest series. On 30th October 2012 the studio will release the first episode of Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller – their first commercial outing, with legendary adventure game designer Jane Jensen acting as story consultant.

GAME REVIEW – Worms Revolution (PC, PlayStation 3)

Worms Revolution is the latest instalment of Team17’s popular Worms series of artillery strategy video games. When Alternative Magazine Online previewed the game last month, we noted that “Worms Revolution could mark a pleasing return to form for the series.” AMO has extensively played the PC (Steam)/PlayStation 3 (PSN) versions of the game and the verdict is in. So, does Worms Revolution manage to revolutionise the series and return it to its roots?
