Blade Runner (1997, PC) is a point and click adventure game based on the classic 1982 science fiction film of the same name. Created by Westwood Studios, players took control of ‘Blade Runner’ Roy McCoy, hunting down escaped replicants in 2019 Los Angeles. For fans of the film and adventure gamers in general this is still a must-buy. I recommend hunting down a copy!

Despite “Goooo! Get to da choppah!” becoming a part of the common nerd lexicon, the Predator franchise has always lagged behind its competitors. Series like Star Trek and Star Wars are (excuse the pun) in a completely different universe and so the main rival to the Predator series has been the Alien franchise. Unfortunately for the majority of us the battle between the two rivals was recently explored in the Alien vs. Predator movies, both of which can be fairly described as awful. And now in 2010 we have Predators.

Twenty-five years in its arrival and as many feet high, it stared at me through the darkness, a large, unblinking eye. Reflected in its depths was a whole cityscape; a futuristic Los Angeles, terrifying in its bleakness, plumes of fire rising from stacks up towards the heavens.
So there I was, with the biggest grin on my face, watching this eye. I wasn’t afraid; I had seen it before. But never so clear, or so…BIG. Admittedly, to catch the film Blade Runner during its first big screen run in 1982, I would have to build a time machine: I hadn’t been born yet. Seeing it here now, looking brand new, felt like a revelation.
