Her Majesty’s SPIFFING: The Empire Staggers Back is a British comedy graphic adventure created by BillyGoat Entertainment Ltd, a video game developer based in Northern Ireland. The game puts players in control of Captain Frank Lee English, joined by his South Walean colleague Aled Jones, as they travel through the cosmos trying to find a new planet to claim for the British Empire.

Detective Gallo is a point-and-click, comic-noir adventure created by Footprints Games that is entirely hand-illustrated and hand-animated. Players take control of Detective Gallo, a feathered and grumpy private eye struggling with a very tricky case involving a multiple plant murder. The game is currently being crowdfunded via Eppela, the Italian crowdfunding platform, with a goal of €15,000. Nelly Cootalot: The Fowl Fleet is an indie point-and-click adventure game created by award-winning comedian and filmmaker Alasdair Beckett-King (read AMO’s 2013 interview with Alasdair here). A standalone sequel to the 2008 freeware adventure game Nelly Cootalot: Spoonbeaks Ahoy!, players take control of Nelly as she tries to save a group of adorable birds that have been hypnotised by the villainous Baron Widebeard. Her adventure will take her from Port Rubicund in the South Seas, to the icy northern isle of Gloomholm. She may even discover the Treasure of the Seventh Sea along the way…
