The Last Of Us

The Last of Us is a survival horror action-adventure video game developed by Naughty Dog, creators of the critically acclaimed Uncharted series. Published by Sony Computer Entertainment exclusively for the PlayStation 3, the game puts players in control of Joel, a hardened survivor who is travelling across a post-apocalyptic, monster-infested United States in the year 2033 to deliver a 14-year-old girl to a mysterious resistance group known as the ‘Fireflies’. The Last of Us was released worldwide on the 14th June 2013.

INTERVIEW – In Conversation With Agustin Cordes (ASYLUM: From the designer of Scratches, Senscape)

Asylum is ‘a psychological horror adventure inspired by H. P. Lovecraft and set in a massive, decaying mental institute.’ Currently being developed by Senscape, the game was successfully crowd-funded via Kickstarter in late February 2013. Agustin Cordes, the man behind the cult horror adventure game Scratches (which sold over 250,000 copies), seems determined to make this an equally terrifying, albeit much more polished experience for fans of the genre. There will be an entire asylum, with close to 100 rooms, to explore. The Cat Lady is the latest horror adventure game from Remigiusz Michalski, Harvester Games and Screen 7. Michalski, who created the little-known yet critically acclaimed point-and-click adventure game Downfall, returns here with an adult adventure game that deals with serial killers, depression and ultimately, hope. The player takes control of lonely 40-year old on the verge of suicide Susan Ashworth, aka The Cat Lady, as she battles her inner demons and a series of serial killers revealed to her by the mysterious Queen of Maggots….

Lenore, The Cute Little Dead Girl is a series of dark comedy comics created by Roman Dirge. Lenore Volume 1 consisted of Noogies (Issues 1-4), Wedgies (Issues 5-8) and Cooties (Issues 9-12), all published by Titan Books in the UK. Lenore Volume 2 begins with Lenore: Swirlies, a new collection of the creepy and hilarious comic strip, which was released in August 2012 – just in time to celebrate Lenore’s 20th Anniversary!

FILM REVIEW – Kill List (Blu-ray)

Kill List is a low-budget British horror film directed by Ben Wheatley, starring Neil Maskell and Michael Smiley as a pair of contract killers who are drawn into a dark and deadly plot where nothing is as it seems. Kill List is being released on DVD and Blu-ray in the UK by Studio Canal on the 26th December, 2011.
