Following the successfully funded Kickstarter campaign that took place at the end of last year, The Doug TenNapel Sketchbook Archives has finally arrived! Alternative Magazine Online interviewed legendary video game designer (Earthworm Jim, The Neverhood) and graphic novelist (Creature Tech, Cardboard) Doug TenNapel in 2010 and Power Up was also chosen as one of AMO’s best books/graphic novels of 2009, with TenNapel described as: “One of the great graphic novelists of our time.” AMO is therefore proud to present an exclusive video reveal of the Doug TenNapel Sketchbook Archives!

Rhianna Pratchett is a professional writer who originally started off as a journalist (PC Zone, The Guardian) before becoming a video game scriptwriter (Heavenly Sword, Mirror’s Edge). Claire recently collaborated with Irrational Games on their hit video game BioShock Infinite, helping to design Elizabeth and the Letuce ‘twins’. BOOK REVIEW – Joyland by Stephen King

Joyland is the new novel from the world’s best-selling author, Stephen King. The latest release in the highly successful and hugely popular ‘Hard Case Crime’ book series, Joyland tells the story of college student Devin Jones as he takes a part-time job at a small-town North Carolina amusement park during the summer of 1973. Trying to escape a broken heart, he instead discovers a crime – and ghost – mystery that will not only see him coming-of-age, but force him to take a ride with an evil that hides in broad daylight. Published through a collaboration between Winterfall LLC and Titan Publishing Group, Joyland is due to be released in the UK on the 7th June 2013.
