GAME REVIEW – Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Starring Lara Croft (PC)

Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Starring Lara Croft brings back the iconic first three games in the Tomb Raider series – Tomb Raider (1996), Tomb Raider II (1997) and Tomb Raider III (1998) – to modern consoles and PC. Developed and published by Aspyr, who previously helped port the first six Tomb Raider games to macOS in the late ’90s/early 2000s, Tomb Raider I-III Remastered adds new features across all three games, including the ability to switch between original and enhanced graphics and classic and modern controls, a photo mode, health bars for boss battles and hundreds of unlockable achievements.

GAME REVIEW – Alan Wake 2 (PlayStation 5)

Alan Wake 2 (stylised as Alan Wake II) is a third-person survival horror game developed by Remedy Entertainment (Quantum Break, Control, Alan Wake Remastered) and published by Epic Games Publishing. A sequel to the original Alan Wake 13 years in the making, this digital-only release set high expectations when it was finally announced at The Game Awards in 2021. On 27th October 2023, gamers around the world were finally able to continue their fight against the Dark Presence… and the end result was unexpected, to say the least.

GAME NEWS – Blade Runner: Enhanced Edition Is Out Now… and It’s In Desperate Need of a Patch

The best part about downloading Blade Runner: Enhanced Edition so far has been seeing it on the home screen of my PlayStation 5. It’s the classic PC point-and-click adventure game from 1997… on a console! Unfortunately, within minutes of clicking ‘Play Game’, I knew something wasn’t quite right.

GAME REVIEW – Beyond A Steel Sky (PlayStation 5)

Beyond a Steel Sky is a story-driven adventure game originally released on Apple Arcade and PC in 2020, which Alternative Magazine Online’s review described as “a refreshing throwback that feels thoroughly modern and should be experienced by any self-respecting fan of the genre.” A sequel to the 1994 cult classic Beneath a Steel Sky, this follow-up – which is set 10 years later, with Robert Foster returning to Union City to track down a kidnapped child – was recently released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox consoles and Nintendo Switch.
