GAME REVIEW – Poker Night at the Inventory (PC)

Poker Night at the Inventory is a remaster of the cult classic video game of the same name, originally released in 2010. After its removal from Steam in 2019 – likely due to expired licensing and the ‘majority studio closure’ of Telltale Games in 2018 – the delisted title soon skyrocketed in value, with grey-market keys selling for silly amounts. That’s why this updated version – developed by Skunkape Games, a small team of former Telltale employees who worked on the original – is such a pleasant surprise in 2026. The Inventory social club is once again open for business!

GAME REVIEW – Wildwood Down (PC)

Wildwood Down is an indie point-and-click adventure game created by Crashable Studios, a two-brother development team based in the United States (you can read AMO’s recent interview with studio co-owner Micah Orsie here). Inspired by a beach trip to Wildwood, New Jersey, the game stars their childhood friend Daniel, who has Down syndrome, a wonderful sense of humour and a love of video games – making him the perfect protagonist for this comedic feel-good murder mystery.

GAME REVIEW – Old Skies (PC)

Old Skies is a point-and-click adventure game designed by Dave Gilbert and published by his independent studio Wadjet Eye Games. Having collaborated with other indie developers in recent years, this is his first personal project since Unavowed in 2018. Featuring 1080p hand-drawn graphics by artist Ben Chandler, an original score by composer Thomas Regin and professional voice acting from a large cast, Old Skies recently launched on PC, Mac and Linux after almost six years in development and will soon arrive on Nintendo Switch.

GAME REVIEW – World of Goo 2 (PC)

World of Goo 2 is a physics-based puzzle video game developed by 2D Boy and Tomorrow Corporation. Just like its predecessor, World of Goo (2008) – which AMO’s review described as ‘an instant classic’ and ‘the most insanely brilliant, hardcore-casual game ever made’ – this long-awaited sequel presents a series of increasingly mind-boggling levels that involve building structures using goo balls to solve puzzles and reach the exit.
