Alan Wake 2 (stylised as Alan Wake II) is a third-person survival horror game developed by Remedy Entertainment (Quantum Break, Control, Alan Wake Remastered) and published by Epic Games Publishing. A sequel to the original Alan Wake 13 years in the making, this digital-only release set high expectations when it was finally announced at The Game Awards in 2021. On 27th October 2023, gamers around the world were finally able to continue their fight against the Dark Presence… and the end result was unexpected, to say the least.

Midnight Girl is a 2D point-and-click adventure game developed by Italic ApS, a Copenhagen-based indie game company founded by Thomas Ryder and Camilla Pedersen. Set in France during the mid-1960s, players take control of late-teen tomboy Monique, an amateur cat-burglar living in Paris who ends up crossing paths with a legendary thief called The Night Owl.

Inspired by heavyweights of the genre such as Broken Sword, players take control of Milda – a girl from Chicago – as she unravels a mystery that will see her packing her bags and journeying through modern-day Europe ‘to reveal the secrets of the King who was never crowned.’

GAME REVIEW – Psychonauts 2 (PlayStation 4)

It’s hard to believe it has been 16 years since gamers first took control of gifted psychic Razputin Aquato as he journeyed to Whispering Rock Psychic Summer Camp. The original Psychonauts became a cult classic despite being considered a commercial failure upon release, and in 2015 a crowdfunding campaign for a sequel was launched on Fig that eventually raised nearly $4 million. Fast forward six years, add a dash of Xbox Game Studios – which purchased Double Fine in 2019 – and Psychonauts 2 has finally arrived. So pull on your goggles, jump into my mind… and let’s get psyched!
