Back To The Future The Ultimate Visual History

Back To The Future: The Ultimate Visual History, created in conjunction with Universal Pictures and fully endorsed by director/co-creator Robert Zemeckis and producer/co-creator Bob Gale, is a deluxe, officially licensed book that goes behind the scenes to tell the complete story of the making of the Back to the Future films. Written by Michael Klastorin – the production publicist on the second and third movies – and Back to the Future expert Randal Atamaniuk, this treasure trove for fans features hundreds of rare and never-before-seen images from the set, concept art, storyboards and other visual treasures, along with brand new exclusive, in-depth interviews with key cast and crew members. In Back to the Future Part II, Marty McFly and Doc Brown travel into the future, to the 21st October 2015 – today! The release of this book commemorates that date, as well as the thirtieth anniversary of the release of the original film in 1985.

GAME REVIEW – Back To The Future: The Game – Episode 5: OUTATIME

By Marty Mulrooney

BTTF_5_1440x900

Back To The Future: The Game – Episode 5: OUTATIME is the final chapter in Telltale’s episodic continuation of the original film trilogy. So far, it has been a series of impressive highs (“Episode 3: Citizen Brown is not only the best episode of Back To The Future: The Game yet, but also one of Telltale’s finest episodes full stop”) and disappointing lows (“Double Visions is more of a stumble backwards than a leap forwards”). Now, only one question remains: can Episode 5: OUTATIME end everything on a high?

The penultimate episode of Back To The Future: The Game has arrived! Episode 4: Double Visions begins with Marty McFly still trapped in an alternate 1986 Hill Valley where time travel was never invented. What’s worse, Edna Strickland has gone completely insane, determined to wipe Citizen Brown’s mind! GAME REVIEW – Back To The Future: The Game – Episode 3: Citizen Brown

By Marty Mulrooney

BTTF_3_1440x900

Back To The Future: The Game returns once more with Episode 3: Citizen Brown! Following on from last month’s superb cliff-hanger ending, Marty McFly now finds himself trapped in an alternate timeline where 1986 Hill Valley is ruled by ‘First Citizen Brown’ and his every move is being watched. The DeLorean is trashed and everyday life has taken a turn for the worse. Alcohol, public displays of affection and even dogs are entirely forbidden and the majority of the people in Hill Valley are running on autopilot (or golf carts). Only one question remains: can Marty fix the DeLorean and the warped timeline before it’s too late?

GAME REVIEW – Back To The Future: The Game – Episode 2: Get Tannen!

By Marty Mulrooney

BackToTheFuture102 2011-02-23 02-04-53-82

Back To The Future: The Game returns this month with Episode 2: Get Tannen! In my review of Episode 1: It’s About Time I described it as “a film-to-video game adaptation done right” and Episode 2 undoubtedly builds upon these solid foundations. However, I also speculated that many players would be “hoping for a greater challenge across the board in future episodes”. Therefore, I approached Get Tannen! safe in the knowledge that the overall experience would be fan-pleasingly authentic, but also hoping deep down that the gameplay would be far more substantial this time around…

GAME REVIEW – Back To The Future: The Game – Episode 1: It’s About Time

By Marty Mulrooney

BackToTheFutureTheGame

Back To The Future: The Game is a PC adventure game created by Telltale Games as part of a licensing deal with Universal Pictures. Split into five episodes over the coming months, episode one takes place some time after Back To The Future: Part III, with Marty feeling downhearted as the Doc’s possessions are sold off by the bank in his absence…
