Known as Edna bricht aus in Germany – where it began as the university project of Jan Müller-Michaelis aka Poki, co-founder of Daedalic Entertainment – this new Anniversary Edition features high resolution visuals, modernised technology and improved controls.

Alternative Magazine Online reviewed point-and-click adventure game Anna’s Quest in September 2015, describing it as “a beautiful 2D point-and-click adventure game that does more than enough to stand out from the crowd.” The game had been on our radar since its original incarnation – Anna’s Quest Vol. 1: Winfriede’s Tower – was released in 2012, which we described as “indie adventure gaming at its finest.” In short, Anna’s Quest is pretty awesome. Deponia Doomsday is the fourth instalment in the Deponia trilogy developed by Daedalic Entertainment… wait a minute, come again?! That’s right! Following on from Deponia, Chaos on Deponia and Goodbye Deponia, Daedalic has surprised fans of the series around the world by releasing yet another point-and-click adventure game starring Marmite anti-hero Rufus. The ending of Goodbye Deponia (the final game of the original trilogy) seemed pretty definitive (and indeed, divisive) so… how is Goodbye Deponia even possible? Two words: time travel!

GAME REVIEW – Anna’s Quest (PC)

Alternative Magazine Online reviewed Anna’s Quest Vol. 1: Winfriede’s Tower – created by Australian game developer Dane Krams – in 2012, describing it as “indie adventure gaming at its finest.” In a follow-up interview that same year, Mr Krams revealed his plan to release two more ‘volumes’, completing the game as a trilogy. Instead, in 2014 it was announced that Krams Design had teamed up with Daedalic Entertainment to finish the project and release it as one complete adventure game – something that wasn’t originally possible at the time. The finished result is simply titled Anna’s Quest and was released in summer 2015. Grab your keyboard and mouse brave adventurer: it’s finally time to save young Anna’s grandpa and defeat the evil witch Winfriede once and for all!
