Splinter Cell: Blacklist is the sixth instalment in the Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell series. Sam Fisher returns to Sony PlayStation after a long hiatus – the previous instalment, Splinter Cell: Conviction, was exclusive to Microsoft Windows and Xbox 360 – in a third-person stealth action-adventure game that sees him tackling a terrorist group calling itself ‘The Engineers’, which has launched a series of attacks on the United States called ‘The Blacklist’.

GAME REVIEW – Gone Home (PC)

Gone Home

Gone Home is a story exploration video game created by independent studio The Fullbright Company, which was founded in Portland, Oregon in March 2012. Its co-founders are Steve Gaynor, Johnnemann Nordhagen and Karla Zimonja – previously, members of the studio have worked in various capacities on games such as BioShock 2, XCOM and BioShock Infinite. As Kaitlin Greenbriar, players will travel back in time to 1995 to explore their family home in an indie adventure game that is nostalgic, bittersweet and heartfelt.

FILM REVIEW – Kick-Ass 2

Kick-Ass 2

Kick-Ass 2 is an action-comedy film written and directed by Jeff Wadlow, and co-produced by Matthew Vaughn (who directed the original film Kick-Ass in 2010). Aaron Taylor-Johnson reprises his role as Dave Lizewski, a teenager who fights crime as his superhero alter ego Kick-Ass. After the events of the first film, ordinary citizens have been inspired to become real life ‘superheroes’, but former superhero Red Mist has other plans – to become the world’s first super villain, ‘The Motherfucker’!
