Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon Review (ACG)

By Marty Mulrooneybroken-sword-3blog

My second review for adventureclassicgaming.com is up!

This was actually the first article I did as a reviewer for the site, although as it is an older game (considered retro already perhaps?) it is the second to be posted. Broken Sword: The Sleeping Dragon is the third game in the highly successful Broken Sword franchise from Revolution Software (based in the UK). Yet again, George Stobbart and Nico Collard become embroiled in a plot that will take them all over the world. Although I felt it suffered somewhat in its transition from the 2D of the original games to the 3d engine presented here, I still felt that the story was excellent as usual, especially as it revisited some of the templar themes from Broken Sword 1 (arguably still the best in the series, even after all these years.) MUSIC REVIEW – Eric Clapton Gig Liverpool

By Marty Mulrooney

What a concert! Clapton has only gotten better with age. Effortlessly cascading through a whole back catalogue of solid gold, he has easily proved that age means little when you have an endless supply of raw talent. By the end, every last person was standing, euphoric electricity thick in the air. Genius. Vids to follow soon (when the hangover clears and I become less of a bias fanboy!)

My first review for adventureclassicgaming.com is finally up!

Ceville is a comedy driven point and click adventure game from Kalypso, that I thought was a surprisingly pleasant game to pass some time. It reminded me a lot of the Shrek films, using well known fairy tales as the basis for a world of oddities and humour.

The Final Page of Alternative Magazine

By Marty Mulrooney

I have finally, after 3 hours of photoshopping and trial and error, finished the final page of my magazine for my degree. I am very proud of the final result, and also the fact that it is now all so very close to being printed! Special thanks go out to my Lecturer Paddy Hoey who has been an excellent mentor this year, as well as my online colleagues Igor Hardy (who I did my first online article for) and Philip Jong (my Editor-in-chief at adventureclassicgaming.com, who has always encouraged me and has given me great experience working as a writer for his site.) And of course my girlfriend Kathryn for checking over everything I do! Good job on the quality control! I hope Alternative will continue to grow and that my writing continues to entertain. Thank you all.
