GAME REVIEW – Enslaved: Odyssey To The West (PlayStation 3)

Enslaved: Odyssey To The West is an action-adventure game for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Developed by Ninja Theory (Heavenly Sword) and published by Namco Bandai Games, the storyline is based loosely upon the Chinese novel Journey To The West. The game’s collaborators are numerous and impressive, including writer Alex Garland (The Beach, 28 Days Later) who co-wrote the story, and actor Andy Serkis (Lord Of The Rings, King Kong) who directed and provided motion capture.

FILM REVIEW – Back To The Future (25th Anniversary Theatrical Re-Release)

Back To The Future is a 1985 science-fiction comedy film directed by Robert Zemeckis (Who Framed Roger Rabbit) and produced by Steven Spielberg. Starring Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd, it tells the story of Marty McFly, a teenager who is accidentally sent back in time to the year 1955 and must find his way back home. A global phenomenon upon release, it grossed over $380 million worldwide and received critical acclaim, as well as two sequels and an animated TV show. 25 years later, fans now have the chance to see where it all began, digitally remastered in cinemas across the UK and US.

BOOK REVIEW – Batman: Murder at Wayne Manor (An Interactive Mystery)

Batman: Murder at Wayne Manor is an interactive mystery book written by Duane Swiercyznski and illustrated by David Lapham. Both co-creators have impressive backgrounds: Swiercyznski is the author of several crime novels and other interactive mystery books, whilst Lapham is an award-winning comics writer and artist whose credits include Stray Bullets and Batman: City Of Crime. This book is almost like The Jolly Postman for adults, with readers studying interactive clues (such as a detailed autopsy report) to solve the mystery and find the killer.
