Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller – Episode 1: The Hangman is a point-and-click adventure game created by Phoenix Online Studios. AMO recently previewed the game, describing it as “like a mixture of Gabriel Knight, the Saw films, Stephen King’s The Dead Zone and CSI.” The full game has now been released via digital download and the verdict is in – Cognition is every bit as good as it sounds.

Alternative Magazine Online recently reviewed Dreamfall: The Longest Journey, an adventure game created by legendary game designer Ragnar Tørnquist that was released by Norwegian developer Funcom in 2006 for Xbox and Windows PC, describing it as “a flawed game that has nonetheless stood the test of time.” Earlier this month (November 2012), Funcom announced that ‘Dreamfall Chapters’ had gone into pre-production at Red Thread Games, a new studio founded by Ragnar Tørnquist.
