Alternative Magazine Online reviewed Portal 2 in 2011, describing it as “one of the greatest video game sequels ever made.” Valve Corporation has now teamed up with small record label Ipecac Recordings to release Portal 2: Songs To Test By (Collector’s Edition), a physical 4-CD collection of the award-winning music of Portal 2 (with previously unavailable music from the original Portal featured as an added bonus).

Alternative Magazine Online interviewed indie New York musician Zach Hurd in 2011, to coincide with the release of his first solo album Changing Landscapes. During the interview, it was revealed that he was working hard on a follow-up EP produced by Robert DiPietro, whose credits include Norah Jones, Jesse Harris and Josh Rouse. That EP has now arrived in 2012 – She Never Sleeps is a 6-track slice of pure Zach Hurd heaven.

Alternative Magazine Online reviewed Follow Your First Mind by blues guitarist Wilson T. King in 2010, describing it as “a debut to be proud of, echoing the past whilst always managing to sound refreshingly contemporary.” The Last of the Analogues is Mr King’s second solo album, once again avoiding the cliché-ridden karaoke modern blues scene like the plague to hopefully offer something totally different from most modern offerings – real blues music that captures the heart and soul of the human performance.

Making Mirrors is the latest offering from Wouter De Backer, a Belgian born Australian recording artist who goes by the stage name Gotye. Released on 13th February 2012 in the UK, the album spawned the international hit ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ featuring Australian-New Zealand singer Kimbra, which reached #1 in the UK Singles chart. Making Mirrors is Gotye’s third studio album.
