GAME REVIEW – WET (Xbox 360)

By Stewie Sutherland

WET Cover

It was a dark, scary night… you know the kind. Most of the lights are off in the house. Somewhere outside, a noisy owl is hooting. Trees close by are shaking in the wind and scratching at the windows. Everything had been played, and played to death, so yours truly thought “I’ll see what’s available to download for free.” As you can expect, not a lot. Exhausting the XBL marketplace, I checked out the PSN store and saw it in a lonely folder, an underdog if you will: WET – The Demo.

GAME REVIEW – Puzzle Bots

By Marty Mulrooney

Puzzlebots 2010-05-12 21-38-20-72

Puzzle Bots is the latest point ‘n’ click game from Wadjet Eye Games, a company I previously came across during my time reviewing the classic Blackwell trilogy of games for Hardydev.com last year. I therefore decided to put myself forward as a beta tester for the studio’s new game Puzzle Bots last month. These days, it’s earned the new moniker of Galo (not pronounced Gah-lo either). As a first person shooter, it has fallen from its former glory.

GAME REVIEW – Splinter Cell: Conviction (PC Version)

By Marty Mulrooney

SplinterCellConviction

Splinter Cell Conviction is the fifth instalment in the Splinter Cell series of video games, yet it almost feels like a total reboot. Released in the middle of last month (April 2010) on Xbox 360 to critical acclaim, PC gamers had to wait an extra two weeks to get their hands on the title. Was it worth the wait?
