By Marty Mulrooney

EllieConradLeighDreamfallInterview

Alternative Magazine Online recently reviewed Dreamfall: The Longest Journey, an adventure game created by legendary game designer Ragnar Tørnquist that was released by Norwegian developer Funcom in 2006 for Xbox and Windows PC, describing it as “a flawed game that has nonetheless stood the test of time.” Earlier this month (November 2012), Funcom announced that ‘Dreamfall Chapters’ had gone into pre-production at Red Thread Games, a new studio founded by Ragnar Tørnquist. AMO is therefore proud to present a short but sweet exclusive online interview with Ellie Conrad Leigh, the voice of  Zoë Castillo in Dreamfall: The Longest Journey!

INTERVIEW – In Conversation With Sunni Pavlovic (thatgamecompany, Journey)

By Marty Mulrooney

SunniPavlovicAMOInterview

Journey (PSN) in an incredible, unforgettable experience. When I was trudging up the snowy mountainside, ice-cold wind blasting in my face, I really felt it. When I collapsed face down in the snow, my heart sank. When I was resurrected and soared higher than ever before, I felt elated. Euphoric doesn’t do the ending justice… blinding white light has become seared into my retinas. Journey is an experience saturated with emotion. One of the best games released this year and a true work of art – AMO is therefore proud to present an exclusive online interview with Sunni Pavlovic, Studio Manager at thatgamecompany!

By Marty Mulrooney

Over the past few weeks Alternative Magazine Online has been covering Revolution Software’s Broken Sword: The Serpent’s Curse Kickstarter campaign. I have been chatting every day since the Kickstarter was announced with my fellow Broken Sword fans and have been overwhelmed by not only the friendliness of the community that has evolved, but by each individual fan’s efforts to spread the word about Broken Sword 5. Revolution Software started something truly special when they announced Broken Sword: The Serpent’s Curse and the fans have made it even better. This film script – which was written with the permission of Revolution Software co-founder Tony Warriner – transfers the iconic opening of the original Broken Sword adventure game to the typed page. It is my way of saying thank you to all the staff at Revolution Software, my friend Rolf Saxon and all the new friends I have made via the Broken Sword 5 Kickstarter campaign. Paris in the fall…
