Star Wars Episode I: Jedi Power Battles is a remaster of the side-scrolling action game originally released for PlayStation and Dreamcast in 2000. Now, 25 years later, developer and publisher Aspyr has restored Jedi Power Battles for modern platforms with new controls, bonus characters, couch co-op and more. Like the good old days, players can fight through iconic locations from Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, using the power of the Force and their trusty lightsaber to complete the challenging 10-level campaign!

GAME REVIEW – Inspector Waffles: Early Days (Game Boy Color, PC)

Inspector Waffles: Early Days is described by its solo developer Yann (Goloso Games) as ‘a top-down detective adventure with point-and-click mechanics.’ Inspired by classic Game Boy games – and with Game Boy Color as its lead platform – it looks and plays like a forgotten handheld gem from the ’90s, with players taking control of Waffles in his first days as an inspector in Cat Town. It launched today on Steam and Good Old Games, with the ROM version available on Itch.io and physical Game Boy cartridges available via Broke Studio.

The Night Is Grey

The Night Is Grey is a 2D point-and-click adventure game developed by Whalestork Interactive, a five-person team based in Portugal. As the first game developed by the studio, it’s nothing if not ambitious; featuring hand-drawn characters animated at 12 frames per second (the same framerate as the original Broken Sword), with over 50 digitally painted, fully animated panoramic backgrounds, this is an indie game that immediately stands out from the crowd with its striking visual presentation.

Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Remake brings Swedish film director Josef Fares’s critically acclaimed fairy tale platforming adventure to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Windows. Originally developed by Starbreeze Studios and released in 2013, this modern remake from Italian developer Avantgarden S.r.l. switches from Unreal Engine 3 to Unreal Engine 5 – adding a high-fidelity, 4K lick of paint to a timeless classic that still packs an emotional punch over a decade later.
