INTERVIEW – In Conversation With Agustin Cordes (ASYLUM: From the designer of Scratches, Senscape)

Asylum is ‘a psychological horror adventure inspired by H. P. Lovecraft and set in a massive, decaying mental institute.’ Currently being developed by Senscape, the game was successfully crowd-funded via Kickstarter in late February 2013. Agustin Cordes, the man behind the cult horror adventure game Scratches (which sold over 250,000 copies), seems determined to make this an equally terrifying, albeit much more polished experience for fans of the genre. There will be an entire asylum, with close to 100 rooms, to explore. INTERVIEW – In Conversation With Jan Theysen (Battle Worlds: Kronos Kickstarter, KING Art Games)

Battle Worlds: Kronos is a classic turn-based strategy game currently being developed by KING Art Games. The studio has already reached and surpassed its original $120,000 goal to fund the game via Kickstarter and is now pursuing additional stretch goals before the campaign ends on the 28th April 2013. In 2011 Alternative Magazine Online reviewed PC point-and-click adventure The Book of Unwritten Tales, which was also created by KING Art Games, describing it as “one of the most enjoyable adventure games to have been released in a very long time.” AMO is therefore proud to present an exclusive online interview with the studio’s co-founder and creative director, Jan Theysen!

Currently being developed by Perpetual Games (the team hope to raise $40,000 via Kickstarter to fund the game by the 25th January 2013), players will take control of Dorothy and Alice as they revisit curious locations in Oz and Wonderland and quest to find a way to stop the Red Queen of Hearts from destroying both lands.
