J. Edgar

J. Edgar Hoover was one of the most notable figures in American History. During his time as head of the FBI he kept files on hundreds of American citizens including Robert and John F. Kennedy, Eleanor Roosevelt and Dr Martin Luther King, threatening any individual who dared to cross him or appeared to be participating in “un-American activities”. Written by Dustin Lance Black, this biopic stars Leonardio DiCaprio as both the younger and the elder J. Edgar, in a film that spans several decades.

FILM REVIEW – The Woman In Black

The Woman In Black

The Woman In Black is a horror film directed by James Watkins, based on the classic Susan Hill novel of the same name. Set during the Edwardian era, it is produced by Hammer Film Productions and stars Daniel Radcliffe as Arthur Kipps, a young solicitor who is sent to the English coast to attend to the estate of a woman named Alice Drablow who has recently died. Once there, he must travel to Eel Marsh House, located near dense marshes and cut off from the mainland during high tide. Attending to paperwork, he captures glimpses of a mysterious woman in black. The locals in the nearby town seem frightened and their children even more so. What could possibly have the power to terrify so greatly? Soon, Arthur Kipps will find out…

Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol is the fourth instalment in the Mission: Impossible film series. Tom Cruise once again reprises his role as IMF (Impossible Mission Force) agent Ethan Hunt, in an action film that will see him escaping from a Moscow prison before teaming up with faces both familiar – Simon Pegg as IMF technical field agent Benji Dunn – and new – Jeremy Renner and Paula Patton as IMF team members William Brandt and Jane Carter – to tackle nuclear terrorist Kurt Hendricks (Michael Nyqvist). Ghost Protocol marks director Brad Bird’s (The Incredibles) first live-action film.
