Four and Twenty Blackbirds is a supernatural thriller written by award-winning author Cherie Priest. It tells the story of Eden Moore, an orphan watched over by three dead women as a gunman continually tries to hunt her down. Full of Southern flavour and African black magic, Titan Books have recently published Priest’s debut novel – originally released in 2005 in the US – as a paperback original for the very first time in the UK.

Da New Guys: Day of the Jackass is a retro-styled point-and-click adventure game created by UK-based independent developer Chris Burton in collaboration with Wadjet Eye Games. Drawing inspiration from classic LucasArts graphic adventures and Saturday morning cartoons, the player takes control of Brain, Defender and Simon, three professional wrestlers caught up in a complex plot that will test their brains, as well as their brawn, to the absolute limit.

GAME REVIEW – Smash ‘N’ Survive (PSN)

Smash-n-Survive-PS3 Smash ‘N’ Survive is a ‘brutal vehicle combat game’ and the debut PlayStation 3 release from Version 2 Games, an Indian development studio and publisher. It is touted as being ‘a  unique destructive vehicle combat game, featuring over 30 unique concept customisable cars, 10 massive destructible circuits, an innovative single player campaign, split screen and multiplayer mayhem as players battle it out with up to five others via Sony Entertainment Network.’ It sounds great, but hands-on time with this exclusive PSN game quickly reveals an entirely different beast beneath the bonnet.

BOOK REVIEW – Goliath by Tom Gauld (Graphic Novel)

Goliath is a graphic novel by Scottish cartoonist and illustrator Tom Gauld. Published by Drawn & Quarterly, it retells the famous biblical story of David and Goliath from the point of view of Goliath of Grath himself, a gentle giant who actually prefers doing paperwork to fighting.
