Lead And Gold: Gangs of the Wild West is a new third person online western themed shooter. Developed by Fatshark, it was recently released on PC and PlayStation 3, with an Xbox 360 version still in the pipeline as well. So, how much bang for your buck will you get when playing the PlayStation 3 version?

Brutal Greek warrior Kratos finally returns to our gaming consoles with the release of God of War III, the long anticipated final chapter of the phenomenal hack ‘n’ slash trilogy. AMO recently previewed the game here, and I am pleased to say that the final release is even more accomplished than that earlier build. Fans of the original games on PS2 will certainly be thrilled to see a HD iteration of this beautifully detailed world and should have no problem at all picking up the pad and getting straight back into the thick of the action.

Expectations for Quantic Dream’s new PlayStation 3 game Heavy Rain have been incredibly high for several months now: I cannot personally remember the last time I have so consciously anticipated a game leading up to release day. My mind has been practically salivating at the prospect of experiencing something that could potentially change how interactive stories in videogames are told forever. There have also been worries and doubts: as always, anything with this much anticipation placed upon its shoulders is playing Russian roulette with the critics even before release. But now it’s finally here and I can hopefully convey the extent that Heavy Rain has succeeded, or indeed failed, to Alternative Magazine Online’s readers.

The God Of War 3 demo hits the UK PSN today, so I thought it would be a good idea to let Alternative Magazine Online’s readers know my thoughts so far! Please bare in mind that this is a preview of the demo shown at E3 2009. Therefore, it is an earlier build and there could very well be some changes/improvements by the time the game goes on sale next month.
