FILM REVIEW – London River

London River is a British drama film directed by Franco-Algerian director Rachid Bouchareb. It tells the story of a Christian woman and a Muslim man and their respective struggles as they search for their children after the 7/7 London bombings. The film premiered at the 59th Berlin International Film Festival in 2009 and has now been made available on DVD in the UK.

DVD REVIEW – Robin Williams: Weapons Of Self Destruction

When I was a kid, I once found a record called Robin Williams: A Night At The Met. I had no idea that the Met was the New York Metropolitan Opera House, or know anything about cocaine, Ronald Reagan, or even a lot about alcohol – I did know that listening to Robin Williams say that beer commercials always showed “Manly men doing manly things! You’ve just killed a small animal – it’s time for a light beer!” sounded damned funny.
