Crysis 2 is is a first-person shooter developed by Crytek and published by Electronic Arts. It is the sequel to the video game Crysis (2007) and its stand-alone expansion pack Crysis Warhead (2008). Set in 2023, the player takes control of a Force Recon Marine named Alcatraz as he battles alien invaders through a ravaged New York City. Crysis 2 was released in North America, Australia and Europe in March 2011 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Ridley Scott is set to helm a follow-up to his cult classic science fiction film Blade Runner for Warner Brothers-based financing and production company Alcon Entertainment. Alcon recently made headlines when they announced that they had the exclusive rights to produce Blade Runner theatrical sequels and prequels, in addition to television and interactive productions based on the film. Fans will no doubt breathe a sigh of relief knowing that Ridley Scott is now fully on board. No news yet on whether this will be a sequel or prequel, or if any of the original cast will be returning. Super 8 is a science fiction film written and directed by J. J. Abrams and produced by Steven Spielberg. Set in the fictional town of Lillian, Ohio, the film tells the story of a group of children filming their own Super 8 movie when a military train crashes and derails, releasing an unknown entity into the heart of their quiet little suburbia.
