By Marty Mulrooney

Optimum Home Entertainment have just released a special Limited Deluxe Edition (+ DVD copy) of Studio Ghibli’s most recent masterpiece, Ponyo, on Blu-ray. I reviewed the film for AMO when it was originally in the cinema, so I wasn’t planning to review the home release when it arrived. BOOK REVIEW – STORIES: All-New Tales edited by Neil Gaiman and Al Sarrantonio

By Marty Mulrooney

Stories

WIlson T. King may not be an artist that large amounts of music followers, specifically guitar fans, have heard of quite yet. At least, not loudly enough for my liking. Coming from a background of being the chief writer and producer in numerous English indie bands, King has played the Blues for most of his life. His mission to share this often neglected genre with us in his debut album is a noble one. Luckily, he also has the guitar skills to see this vision through. Whether you are a fan of Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck or Joe Bonamassa, you won’t want to miss Follow Your First Mind.

By Marty Mulrooney

BookOfGrickle

The Book Of Grickle is a beautiful hardcover treasure trove of material collected from the various  ‘Grickle’ works of Graham Annable, professional cartoonist, animator and illustrator. Mr Annable was first brought to my attention via his video game work at Telltale Games and LucasArts, yet I am proud to say that I have finally exposed myself to his more personal projects and creations as of late.
