Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is a first-person shooter developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. A stand-alone expansion pack for the 2012 video game Far Cry 3, players take control of ‘Mark IV Cyber Commando’ Sergeant Rex Power Colt as he completes missions on a retro-futuristic open world island. Set during an alternate reality dystopian future in the year 2007, Rex must defeat Colonel Ike Sloan, an elite agent – and former commander – who has gone rogue.

BOOK REVIEW – Dead Space: Liberation by Ian Edginton and Christopher Shy (Graphic Novel)

Dead Space: Liberation is a graphic novel written by Ian Edginton (Victorian Undead) with art by Christopher Shy (Soul Stealer). Recently published in the UK by Titan Books, this graphic novel serves as a prequel to the events of Dead Space 3 (both were released in February 2013). The story follows Earthgov Sergeant John Carver as he fights religious fanatics and terrifying ‘Necromorph’ monsters in a desperate bid for survival that will determine the fate of mankind.

Ben Lo is a Canadian concept artist at BioWare who previously worked as an ‘Environmental Concept Artist’ at Irrational Games. Ben helped design many of BioShock Infinite’s stunning locations. INTERVIEW – In Conversation With Agustin Cordes (ASYLUM: From the designer of Scratches, Senscape)

Asylum is ‘a psychological horror adventure inspired by H. P. Lovecraft and set in a massive, decaying mental institute.’ Currently being developed by Senscape, the game was successfully crowd-funded via Kickstarter in late February 2013. Agustin Cordes, the man behind the cult horror adventure game Scratches (which sold over 250,000 copies), seems determined to make this an equally terrifying, albeit much more polished experience for fans of the genre. There will be an entire asylum, with close to 100 rooms, to explore.
