Devil’s Cove is a classic point-and-click adventure game being developed by indie game developer Anarchy Enterprises for PC, Mac, iOS and Android devices. Taking place in the cursed harbour town of Devil’s Cove, Anarchy Enterprises hopes to raise $185,000 via Kickstarter to fund the project. GAME REVIEW – Hoodwink (PC)

Hoodwink is a cel-shaded point-and-click adventure game created by Kuala Lumpur based indie developer E-One Studio. Players take on the role of Michael Bezzle (M. Bezzle – get it?), an acquisitions expert – aka small time thief – who is trying to propose to his girlfriend in a futuristic city ruled by the all-powerful corporation Unicorp. Although it isn’t explicitly stated, Hoodwink is the first episode of an episodic series and is available exclusively on PC via EA’s Origin service.

INTERVIEW – In Conversation With Dave Fennoy (Lee Everett, The Walking Dead: The Game)

Alternative Magazine Online recently reviewed The Walking Dead – Episode 1: A New Day (PC), describing it as “Telltale Game’s most accomplished project yet.” Of particular note was the voice acting, which AMO described as “stellar, with Lee and Clementine in particular sounding 100% authentic and real. Whether Lee is threatening to kick somebody’s ass or comforting Clementine, he always sound great and it’s a constant joy to hear him interact with the 8-year-old girl in his care.” It is therefore with great pleasure that AMO presents an exclusive online interview with the voice of Lee Everett, Dave Fennoy aka ‘The Hulu Guy’!

GAME REVIEW – The Walking Dead: Episode 1 – A New Day (PC)

The Walking Dead: A New Day is the first episode in a five part episodic video game based upon Robert Kirkman’s The Walking Dead series of comic books. Developed by Telltale Games, the player takes control of recently convicted felon Lee Everett as he fights to survive the zombie apocalypse whilst protecting a little girl named Clementine.

Metal Dead is an indie PC game created by Walk Thru Walls Studios, a two-man independent game developer based in Brisbane, Australia. It is the first in a planned series of comedic, heavy metal influenced, apocalyptic point-and-click adventure games. The game follows the adventures of two metal-heads, Malcolm and Ronnie, as they battle to survive in the midst of a zombie apocalypse.

GAME REVIEW – The Book of Unwritten Tales (PC)

The Book of Unwritten Tales is an acclaimed point-and-click adventure game created by German developer King Art. Set in a humorous fantasy land, the game features four playable characters: the little gnome Wilbur, the elf princess Ivo, a human adventurer named Nate and his furry friend Critter. Together, these unlikely heroes must defeat the Army of the Shadows and protect a powerful artefact that could determine the fate of the entire world. Alongside the brand new English language translation, publisher Lace Mamba Global have released the UK retail edition with some additional extras inside the box, including a 36 page art book, a soundtrack CD and a double-sided A2 artwork poster.

Hector: Episode 3 – Beyond Reasonable Doom is a point-and-click adventure game created by Straandlooper Animation, published by Telltale Games. Only a few months after Episode 2: Senseless Acts Of Justice was released – described in AMO’s review as being “just as crude, rude and hilarious as ever” – Episode 3 begins with Hector and his trusty sidekick Lambert stuck in a septic tank rapidly filling with liquid poo! Just another day in the Clappers Wreake Police Department…
